YAMAHA RACING DEVELOPMENT TEAM (YRDT)

Yamaha Racing Development Team is a new entrant in the 2009 Australian Superbike Competition (ASBK). YRDT will be competing in the Supersport class on board the ultra competitive Yamaha YZFR6 – the winning machine in Australia for the past 3 years in a row.

YRDT is a collaboration between Yamaha Racing Development (YRD), Activation Energy, Dynoverks Engineering and Roost Industries. YRDT exists to provide the right opportunity for talented young racers to demonstrate their abilities against Australia’s best. We therefore aspire to accelerate the careers of our riders, and equally to create and assist the growth & success of our partners.

For the 2009 ASBK Supersport Competition YRDT will be putting all of our energy into supporting Christan Casella. The decision not to expand the team to two or more riders has been made to allow YRDT the best opportunity to succeed in our maiden year.

YRDT is a privateer team based in Melbourne, supported by and closely linked to Yamaha Racing Team. Our team was created from the passion and enthusiasm of our members; we draw on each member’s talent and skill to achieve at our best, and we have a great time in the process!

Rnd 3 - Queensland Raceway QLD, May 29 - 31
Rnd 4 - Eastern Creek NSW, August 7 - 9
Rnd 5 - Mallala SA, August 28 - 30
Rnd 6 - Phillip Island VIC, October 15 - 18
Rnd 7 - Winton Raceway VIC, November 12 - 15

After many years of supporting race teams in the Victorian and Australian competitions, we are pleased to announce that Dynoverks have entered a team into the 2008 Australian Superbike Championships Formula Extreme Class. The 2008 Dynoverks Racing Team effort will be spearhead by our own charismatic Workshop Manager and gun racer Dean Oughtred, who has been racing motorcycles competitively for over 10 years. Dean will be riding the latest Suzuki GSXR 1000 purchased and race prepd by Dynoverks.
